Our Guests Love it!
Awesome! Worth your tme! Highly recommend! Great tour! Our guide was VERY informative, knowledgeable, and friendly. 5 of 5. I heard him ask different people numerous times if all was OK. You are on your feet the entire tour (there are some steps involved), but it isn’t a long tour and isn’t strenuous. There is a lot more to Grand Central Terminal (Station) then meets the eye and your guide will ensure you learn what that is.
Enjoyable and interesing Grand Central Station tour The tour was very interesting. Our tour guide Louis tailored the tour towards some quesitons my wife and 1 had related to to the Garand Central Station.
Remnants of Dutch NY is a must do tour. Well researched and great delivery. It was a very hot day, but I wasn’t going to miss the tour because of it. So glad I did it. Richard was the guide and it was obvious he had done research on the subject. We covered a lot of information and ground. What was so great was his enthusiasm for the time period and how much history and remnants are still around. People know about the Gilded Age but there’s not a lot of exposure for this time. Loved it.
Excellent tour of Grand Central Terminal. June 2025 we did a tour of Grand Central Terminal, N.Y with John DeSanto. John is knowledgable and an amazing storyteller. We highly recommend booking John via Untapped New York. John, we will be back with our families in August for another tour with you. Sine & Berit from Denmark.
Excellent “Powering NYC” is an absolute must-do. Took my family, learned a ton. Ferry experience was great. Tour-guide is passionate, considerate, highly-educated.
The Grand Central we never knew! I’ve been wanting to know more about Grand Central after reading about many of the secret places inside. We used to live in NY and have been there many times, but this was a fun way to explore and see things that were hidden in plain sight! Guide AJ was well in for and very entertaining.
Informative contextualization of Grand Central Station’s space, story, & architecture Richard is a knowledgeable and informative guide. Our tour was intimate and pointed out many details of art and architecture only locals or historians would know how to see and appreciate. A space like this can seem overwhelming to the uninitiated, so my nephew and I wholeheartedly recommend this tour to tourists who want to soak in a bit more context along with the greatest hits. He was open to questions, provided myriad visual aids, and also pointed out two more recent tile mosaic murals that are quite beautiful and have their own stories. We would not have known where or how to notice these otherwise.
Wonderful Grand Central Terminal Tour! I highly recommend the Secrets of Grand Central Terminal Tour – you will learn a lot about this beautiful and historical place. Our tour guide John was fantastic – he was pleasant, knowledgeable, funny, and very much in sync with the tour group. The earpieces were helpful to assure the whole group could hear the guide over other noises in the environment. If you have a chance, take this tour – it was worth every penny and every minute!
Hidden gems and lots of illustrated history John provided an enthusiastic and comprehensive tour of the terminal. He showed us many pictures to further illustrate the terminals history. He took us to hidden places within the terminal and pointed out features with a background story that gave the place more depth. He had a personal energy and enthusiasm that was contagious. A wonderful tour.
Fun Tour of 60s Music Business in NYC The tour centered on the production of pop music in mainly two buildings in NYC in the early 1960s. Mark Satlof, our guide, shared many interesting stories about the writers, producers, singers, and songs of that fabulous era. He is very knowledgeable about the era and kept our interest on a chilly, rainy day. We know that The Beatles started the British Invasion in 1964 but It was very interesting to learn that The Beatles also changed the way the pop music business was structured.
Great experience! Would definitely recommend! Despite the rain, our guide Richard was fantastic. He had the perfect blend of interesting information and conversational tidbits and facts. We had a lot of fun and would definitely recommend it to any group interested in that time of New York.
Grand Central Station architecture tour Guide was insightful and upbeat.
Suggestion. With groups of males and females, referring to all as ‘guys’ may be interpreted as an unprofessional/immature verbal ‘crutch’.
Might consider ‘folks” or ‘ladies and gentlemen’ as an alternative OR ask permission from the group if they are OK with the terms ‘guys’
One man’s opinion
Fantastic Tour!! John was the best guide!! He shared so many great stories, knew interesting background information, and had personal relationships with workers of various kinds at Grand Central Station. It was wonderful to see this and really enhanced the experience of the tour. Could not recommend this tour and this guide more!!
Unseen places Richard was very knowledgeable and open to our questions. The pace was conducted at the pace of the slowest walker and he regularly checked in with people to make sure they were doing ok and happy with the pace. Overall a great experience and we saw places you would never normally see. Thoroughly enjoyable and would recommend it
