Great tour of nyc subway system! Our tour guide, Rayn, was fantastic. He is very personable and made the whole group feel a part of the tour. It was clear that the NYC subway system is a passion for Rayn and his energy for the topic was infectious. The tour included history, art, information about the transit system itself, and nyc. It was a perfect blend to keep the whole thing engaging. Hopping from train to train and station to station was fun. We all gained a new appreciation for the marvel of the nyc transit system. Definitely recommended.

Great subway tour Great tour and informative. Cullen was a great tour guide with lots of interesting info. It was a nice family experience. Highly recommend!
Peter S5/12/2025Great lessons on the subway system of NYC We learned so much on this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared many details. It was busy, going from station to station, looking at structure, art, placement. Even showing us old stations from the windows as we passed by. It was fascinating. Enjoyed it so much.

Good Introduction to the NYC Subway System Enjoyed this tour very much! A.J. was our most knowledgeable guide. He arrived and ended on time, and he shared lots of info through words & photos. I learned how the subway system came into being and something about how it has continued until today. We entered at the Fletcher Center and the rest of the tour was moving to and from maybe 5-6 stations, ending with the 6 train turn-around in a very special place not to be named… 🙂 Also, I personally love subway art, so seeing that in the stations we stopped in was very enjoyable. This is not going to give you a ride advisory of the existing NYC subway system, but it’s a good way to learn the basics.

Peering into the Subway Excellent introduction to the subway system. Starting with the Fulton Center station, where the old and new collide. An excellent examination of the IRT Brooklyn Bridge station, and the adjacent BMT Chambers St station (somewhat worse for wear), and the mosaics along the IRT (which was part of the original subway), and a peak at the original City Hall station on the 6 loop. Best of all, the guide did not mind fielding questions from me, even whn I was trying to show that I knew something!
Charlie I6/01/2023Subway facts and surprises too Alexis gave a great and informative tour of the subway and history. She was personable and knowledgeable and knew so many little facts that we found so interesting. As native New Yorkers we spent a most pleasant morning learning about the history of the different subway lines.I would totally recommend this tour. Just enough history in 2 hours.

Sue M5/21/2023NYC Underground subway walking tour is a must-do! The tour was excellent. Our guide (I think her name was Alexis. Sorry – I am terrible with names) was engaging and she was a great storyteller. She knew so much about the topic of the subways and NYC in general. She could easily answer all questions from group members. She kept us together and safe while we were getting on and off subways. I would do the same tour again. It was fascinating. Thank you.

Great Tour, Absolutely Recommend I greatly enjoyed the tour. Alexis was our guide and she was very knowledgeable and accommodating. It was fascinating to hear about the historical context and evolution of NYC’s subways, with plenty of (mostly) hidden sights that I would not have otherwise noticed or appreciated. Would absolutely recommend!

A brilliant and fascinating tour! Alexis led our tour and was extremely knowledgable and passionate about the subway’s history and points of interest. We covered so much ground during the 2 hours and learned a great deal!
mea98omp3/23/2023Great Experience Was a great tour and would definitely take another tour with this company after this experience. Our tour guide, AJ, was very insightful into the NYC subways. He used a lot of visuals into the history with his iPad. He came with a lot of enthusiasm and through in some jokes too.
