Great day in Grand Central with Senior Citizens. We took a small group from our senior center and they had a great experience. The tour guide (A.J.) was energetic, presented interesting information and took us to places in Grand Central that we, as New Yorkers, had never seen before. The ear pieces took some adjusting to, and given the high volume of noise all around us, we were still able to hear the tour guide, better when he faced us/better reception. I liked that he had a tablet to show us historical photos of the site and people involved with the creation of the terminal. It was a great day out. Thank you!
Secrets of Grand Central Station This is a “must do” if you are visiting NYC. This is my second time taking this tour and I actually loved it even more because our tour guide, Johnathan was so amazing. He remembered every persons name and where they were from. His presentation and story telling made this tour an absolute delightful experience. I’ve done many tours before but this was the best value for the money.
Grand Central history and fun facts A very interesting history of Grand Central from its beginning by an immigrant who became a millionaire through the war era and red carpet train. John was an entertaining guide who had researched and found many pertinent archival photos. Recommended.
Grand Central Terminal and its creation. This is my second time taking the Grand Central terminal tour and I can honestly say I learned things I hadn’t learned the first time. I was amazed and am still processing. I will bring more people just so I can hear more facts (and dispel fiction). Great tour guide!
Lovely gem We took our tour with Laura the Grand Central Terminal. Such a beautiful building with unique architecture and design facets. Would have totally missed the details if not for Laura educating us. Her voice Projected well, had interesting stories about the details that she pointed put. Love train stations. And the Chrysler bldg and public library right there too!
Great Tour. So many interesting facts. This tour was fantastic. The tour started right on time with a very gracious host. His knowledge and presentation made all of us laugh and enjoy the tour . It was remarkable to learn about all of the history, and those things still represented in the Station. I’m really highly recommend this tour.
Fantastic Tour…and a very informative and entertaining guide! I LOVED this tour! Mickey was our guide, and she was GREAT. She was funny, informative and you could tell she just loved opening the curtain a bit and showing us really ‘secret’ things in Grand Central that I didn’t know were even there. I loved the history she provided, as well as the funny little ‘quirks’ about the people involved. I’ve always felt that Grand Central Terminal is one of the most beautiful spaces in the city, but now I love it even more after this very interesting tour. I took notes (I always do on historical tours), and I fully plan to study Grand Central a bit more when I get home. Thanks Mickey!
Great tour of Grand Central This was such a great tour. Christian was our guide. I’m a New Yorker who has walked past or through Grand Central Terminal many times. I had no idea how much I did not know about it. Christian told us about the history and “secrets” that I had been missing. I recommend this tour for visitors and residents who want to know more about this fascinating place.
Excellent and interesting experience! The tour guide was a very engaging and fun personality, and he showed us a lot of very interesting things. The crowd size was just right, and the people we were with were respectful. The fee wasn’t very bad for such a nice time, and we were there for almost an hour and a half. Overall, great experience for me and my teen! I probably wouldn’t recommend it for children younger than ten, they might be bored
GCT like never seen before. We were a group of five adults. Our tour guide John was a New York native and knew everything there was to know about GCT. His excitement and eagerness to pleas was contagious. He moved along and shared an abundance of information. The technology was falling short due to WiFi connection inside so it made it difficult for some in group to hear at times and may have slowed things down a bit. But John was so engaging it likely didn’t matter. It was wonderful to travel to places within GCT we’ve never gone.
Highly, highly, highly recommend! What a terrific tour. Our guide, Ben Wurtzel, was so generous with his time and expertise. He knew every nook and cranny of Grand Central, including those the average person never gets to see. His stories were so interesting and we could feel his passion for the Terminal and New York. We had an absolutely great time and could not have asked for more.
History and architecture! Fabulous History and architecture come to life! Inside and out. There are details not to be missed! Gilded age fans will love the architecture and Vanderbilt history. Also fans of historical fiction- Fiona Davis, The Masterpiece- will love seeing the history come to life! Save time for shopping and lunch! We ate at The Oyster bar, a continuously operating restaurant!
Step inside Grand Central after the evening rush and see the landmark in a whole new light. Your guide will peel back the layers of history, pointing out overlooked details and little-known stories that reveal the terminal’s true character. As the city outside hums into the night, you’ll wander through spaces that feel both familiar and mysterious, discovering a side of Grand Central most never see.
The experience culminates with a perfectly timed drink at Grand Brasserie, the ideal way to toast an evening of secrets, stories, and unforgettable moments in one of New York’s most iconic settings.
