A wonderfully fun window into Grand Central Station I went with 2 old friends, one of whom booked it for us. Jonathan led the most exhilarating, hilarious and informative tour I can imagine—so much more fun than ever I anticipated. In a group of 12, he made it feel intimate by learning all our names and addressing each of us enough so that by the middle of the tour it felt like we all knew each other.
Engaging Tour of Grand Central I have lived in NY my whole life and for 15 years commuted through Grand Central but never saw or knew the details that Jonathan provided on the tour. He was engaging, knowledgeable and theatrical, and I loved every minute. There were 13 of us on the tour and Jonathan remembered everyone’s name and hometown and involved us all as we walked around the staton.
Don’t miss this fantastic tour — the very heartbeat of NYC. This is a don’t-miss tour for anyone who has dashed through GCS on their way to see the sights of New York, commute for business and then catch the train to race home. Plan to take time to explore this amazing structure, loaded with history and fascinating facts. Richard, our tour guide, was a real pro! Incrediblly knowledgeable, he was most attentive to the small group (12), checking with everyone at frequent intervals. And, kudos to whoever recommended the use of an individual ear piece for each tourist, especially considering the noise both inside and outside the building.
Amazing historical experience! Our tour guide was incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable. I really appreciated that we were given earpieces, which allowed us to hear every word clearly throughout the tour. Every corner of Grand Central Terminal has a story waiting to be told by an expert. We especially enjoyed learning about the whispering gallery, the meaning behind the Roman numerals on the clock, and the many fascinating historical facts our guide shared. He explained everything with a pleasant voice and a passion for history. Thank you for all the details and for the effort you put into making this tour so memorable. We will never walk through Grand Central Terminal again without remembering the sacrifices and dedication that preserved this magnificent place for future generations. It is truly an example of greatness.
Grand Central tour top favorite NYC such a great tour of Grand Central station with a fantastic tour guide! Lots of history was provided. A must see
Great day in Grand Central with Senior Citizens. We took a small group from our senior center and they had a great experience. The tour guide (A.J.) was energetic, presented interesting information and took us to places in Grand Central that we, as New Yorkers, had never seen before. The ear pieces took some adjusting to, and given the high volume of noise all around us, we were still able to hear the tour guide, better when he faced us/better reception. I liked that he had a tablet to show us historical photos of the site and people involved with the creation of the terminal. It was a great day out. Thank you!
Secrets of Grand Central Station This is a “must do” if you are visiting NYC. This is my second time taking this tour and I actually loved it even more because our tour guide, Johnathan was so amazing. He remembered every persons name and where they were from. His presentation and story telling made this tour an absolute delightful experience. I’ve done many tours before but this was the best value for the money.
Well Worthwhile Tour! What a great experience! Our tour guide, John, was so knowledgeable and shared the history of the terminal with such passion. He used historical pictures to bring the past to life.
Grand Central history and fun facts A very interesting history of Grand Central from its beginning by an immigrant who became a millionaire through the war era and red carpet train. John was an entertaining guide who had researched and found many pertinent archival photos. Recommended.
This building is a work of art! GCS is fascinating! I think every commuter should do this tour to see what they are passing by every day! Loved the upstairs uncovered bar… beautiful!
Grand Central Terminal and its creation. This is my second time taking the Grand Central terminal tour and I can honestly say I learned things I hadn’t learned the first time. I was amazed and am still processing. I will bring more people just so I can hear more facts (and dispel fiction). Great tour guide!
Lovely gem We took our tour with Laura the Grand Central Terminal. Such a beautiful building with unique architecture and design facets. Would have totally missed the details if not for Laura educating us. Her voice Projected well, had interesting stories about the details that she pointed put. Love train stations. And the Chrysler bldg and public library right there too!
Great Tour. So many interesting facts. This tour was fantastic. The tour started right on time with a very gracious host. His knowledge and presentation made all of us laugh and enjoy the tour . It was remarkable to learn about all of the history, and those things still represented in the Station. I’m really highly recommend this tour.
Fantastic Tour…and a very informative and entertaining guide! I LOVED this tour! Mickey was our guide, and she was GREAT. She was funny, informative and you could tell she just loved opening the curtain a bit and showing us really ‘secret’ things in Grand Central that I didn’t know were even there. I loved the history she provided, as well as the funny little ‘quirks’ about the people involved. I’ve always felt that Grand Central Terminal is one of the most beautiful spaces in the city, but now I love it even more after this very interesting tour. I took notes (I always do on historical tours), and I fully plan to study Grand Central a bit more when I get home. Thanks Mickey!
Great tour of Grand Central This was such a great tour. Christian was our guide. I’m a New Yorker who has walked past or through Grand Central Terminal many times. I had no idea how much I did not know about it. Christian told us about the history and “secrets” that I had been missing. I recommend this tour for visitors and residents who want to know more about this fascinating place.
Step inside Grand Central after the evening rush and see the landmark in a whole new light. Your guide will peel back the layers of history, pointing out overlooked details and little-known stories that reveal the terminal’s true character. As the city outside hums into the night, you’ll wander through spaces that feel both familiar and mysterious, discovering a side of Grand Central most never see.
The experience culminates with a perfectly timed drink at Grand Brasserie, the ideal way to toast an evening of secrets, stories, and unforgettable moments in one of New York’s most iconic settings.
