Our Guests Love it!
An interesting and enjoyable tour. Our guide, Jim, was very knowledgeable on the subject of Underground NY.
He is a good and interesting presenter. The tour was certainly worthwhile.
An absolute blast John DeSanto led an incredibly engaging and well organized tour. He laid out the history of the building really clearly with lots of great images and anecdotes to bring the place to life. I wouldn’t have thought that I’d laugh, wonder and learn so much in a place I’ve passed through many times on my way in/out of the city. Great tour and phenomenal guide!
Fun way to tour Grand Central. I love the history and ability to key on all the elements of Grand Central station. It was fun and informative. Our tour guide was amazing. Who knew there are tennis courts in Grand Central?!
A great tour of Grand Central + an even better tour guide Our tour guide John was fantastic. He was super friendly, personable, and clearly passionate about what he does. It was a small group (about 12 of us), so the whole thing felt really personal and conversational, not like we were being herded around.I honestly didn’t expect to enjoy a tour of a train station this much, but I learned a ton and had a great time. John made the history and architecture genuinely interesting, and the 90 minutes flew by. We explored all over Grand Central and even stepped outside a bit.One thing I really appreciated: everyone got earpieces, so even in the crowded parts, it was easy to hear everything John was saying, no straining or missing details. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun and informative way to see a side of NYC you might otherwise overlook.
Excellent private tour of Grand Central! We had a fantastic private tour of Grand Central. Ray was an outstanding guide – he had excellent stories about the history of this stunning building, including little-known tales and areas – even for the New Yorkers in our group. He kept our group of three generations engaged and entertained the entire time. I highly recommend doing the tour early in the morning, to avoid the crowds and noise.
This tour of gilded age architecture will be of value to anyone interested in that period in NYC Our guide Bill was very knowledgeable. It was obvious he did his research and knew a lot about the architecture, the homes, history and the people who lived here. He communicated in a clear and articulate way. The walk up Fifth Avenue alongside Central Park was a pleasant route.
A very enjoyable tour of an icon of NY City. For many years my wife and I have traveled into and out of NY City via Grand Central Terminal. We thought it was time to take the time to see and learn more about it. The tour did not disappoint; we learned a great deal of history and saw areas of the terminal that we never knew were there. Our guide (I’m sorry that his name went in one ear and out the other) was excellent – very knowledgeable, had visuals to enliven the history, fielded every question. We had two minor disappointments in that the Vanderbilt tennis club was closed for renovation and the Biltmore Room was in use an MTA in house event, neither the fault of the guide or tour company.
Touring a Historic Landmark Our tour of Grand Central Station was interesting and informative. We learned about the history of this historic landmark and how it was saved from destruction. Our tour guide, Christian, was knowledgeable and went at a comfortable pace for our book club.
